Lucca: The perfect Italian cycling town
Cycling around Lucca is one of the most enjoyable ways to explore more of this part of Tuscany! Lucca is situated on a coastal plain on Italy’s western coast.
It is significantly flat, but it’s close to the foothills of some pretty solid mountains. This combination of quiet flat country roads, medium hills and high mountains is a cycling haven! Not to mention the medieval walled city full of cafes, restaurants and bars!
